&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: This UoL modeled a typical peer assessment process:&#xD;
 &#xD;
two learners: learner 1 and learner 2 and a tutor are involved in the peer assessment process.&#xD;
act 1: two learners should register to the assessment with personal information and learning interest.&#xD;
act 2: according to the learning interest selected, each learner will read a relevant material and then write an article. The tutor monitors the progress and decide whether to terminate the act.&#xD;
act 3: each learner rates and comments on the article of the peer and the tutor reviews the articles as well.&#xD;
act 4: each learner can view the comments of the peer and the tutor and the final score, which is a weighted sum of the peer's rating and tutor' rating.
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;Description: It is an executable UoL with many features such as adaptive learning, collaborative learning, advanced assessment, etc.</description>

      <title>Knowledge Convergence Script</title>

&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: This UoL specifies a collaboration script named "knowledge convergence script" (Weinberger, A., Fischer, F., and Mandl, H. (2004). Knowledge convergence in computer-mediated learning environments: Effects of collaboration scripts. Proceedings of the 85th Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association (AERA), San Diego, CA, USA.) in IMS LD. It was originally designed and implemented in a web-based environment to support a small group of three learners, who are required to write three reports about three cases. The whole process consists of four stages. &#xD;
&#xD;
1.	Case reporting: Each learner reads a different case and writes a report about the case which they have read. When all three learners have finished their reports, they pass them on to designated co-learners the first round of a pre-defined pattern of rotation. &#xD;
2.	Criticizing 1: Each learner comments on the report which they have received. When all three have finished the first round of comments, they rotate the reports again, together with the first round comments. &#xD;
3.	Criticizing 2: Each learner comments on the newly transferred report and the associated comment. When all three have finished the second round of comments, they rotate the reports again, together with the first and second round comments.&#xD;
4.	Finalizing the report: Each report returns to the original author together with two comments. Each learner revises their own report (writes a synthesis to merge the ideas of other learners) in the light of their comments.

&lt;br/&gt;Description: This UoL is used as a case to investigate the expressiveness of IMS LD in representing group-based learning. The investigation was reported in a submitted book chapter (see http://hdl.handle.net/1820/930)</description>

&lt;br/&gt;Abstract: Caminatas (Burgos, 2004) consists of several stand-alone modules with basic data communication, grouped around a central main module to grant access and share tasks. It has some features to be personalized (user name), some setting-up for the full multi-rom (ambient audio) and some adaptive configuration (visibility of intros just in the first running of every instance). It was scripted and programmed in Flash/Action Script by the author of this paper, together with the publishing company Oxford University Press and has been re-purposed into IMS LD in the Open University of the Netherlands to be used as a base on educational gaming research and IMS LD.
&lt;br/&gt;
&lt;br/&gt;Description: The game consists of three very different moments or sections: Introduction, Game and Goodbye. Introduction involves setting-up the basic requirements of a run, shows the front page and requests the initial personal information of the player. In the Game section, a play of the game is run using the previous data. In the last section, Goodbye, these previously input data are used again, to personalize the closing message. The three sections are single files, stand-alone programmes, which send and receive the input data between them.</description>
